A: The purpose of the Friends of MUSC Children’s Hospital is to raise funds for and enhance community awareness of the exceptional care delivered at the MUSC Children’s Hospital. The Friends group provides a social fabric for individuals to participate in activities that benefit the many children throughout the state that are cared for by the MUSC Children’s Hospital.
Q: Where do fundraising dollars go?
A: Charitable funds support the MUSC Children’s Hospital Fund. Minimal funds support the Friends of MUSC Children’s Hospital organization’s operational expenses.
Q: What is the Children's Hospital Fund?
A: The Children’s Hospital Fund has played a major role in facilitating the development of programs within the Children’s Hospital. The Children’s Hospital Fund has enlisted community support for three primary reasons: To support research, to support the development of treatment programs within the department of Pediatrics, and to support the Child Life Services.
